We are committed to helping others

Through research, teaching, mission work and other community outreach initiatives, engaging communities and other healthcare practitioners are a top priority at North Florida Bone & Joint Specialists.

Research is a core component of improving outcomes and the overall patient experience at North Florida Bone & Joint Specialists. Our physicians routinely serve as principal investigators in studies with the Andrews Research & Education Foundation and publish articles in well-respected peer-reviewed journals.

Mission Trips

Currently, North Florida Bone & Joint’s Dr. Steven Kronlage and Dr. Chris O’Grady work with Bayside Medical Missions to provide surgical care to the underserved community in Ecuador.

Through their collaborative work with other surgeons and healthcare professionals from around the country, they perform life-changing procedures on those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to receive the care they need. Dr. Kronlage has also been involved with the Love for Peru Foundation where he has performed similar operations on children and adults from remote locations of the region.

At the beginning of 2022, Drs. Kronlage and O’Grady started Hands of Hope Medical Missions, a non-profit organization they plan to use to further their mission service. Visit the Hands of Hope website to learn more.

Education & Teaching

Our physicians speak at conferences and symposiums as well as teach courses on a variety of topics, including:

  • Football Injuries & Treatments
  • Baseball Injuries & Treatments
  • Effective Healthcare
  • Trauma-Related Issues
  • Clinical Applications of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound
  • Total Knee & Shoulder Replacement

Community Outreach

You will often spot many of our North Florida Bone & Joint Specialists physicians at local high school athletic events and the University of West Florida, providing their services from the sidelines.

Our physicians also lend their time and talents as volunteers at various other sports and community events, providing physicals or other consulting services. They also donate their services to those who travel from abroad seeking specialized care.
